 Crondal Hundred, Hampshire Records

This database contains a collection of records and documents relating to the Hundred of Crondal. The Hundred of Crondal forms the northeast part of the county of Southampton, and extends on the north and east sides to the Blackwater River. It comprises an area of nearly twenty-nine thousand acres, and was given to the Cathedral Church of Winchester as far back as Anglo-Saxon days towards the support of the Bishop and monks (p. xv). Some of the records and documents found in this collection include wills, notes, writs, and grants. These records approximately cover the years 880 to 1690 A.D. Although this database will probably not mention your ancestors specifically, it is a good source for gathering historical information on Crondal, which in turn can be used to further your family history research.
