Neusüdwales, Australien, in Port Phillip ankommende Passagiere, 1846

Diese Sammlung enthält eine Liste von im Jahr 1846 in Port Phillip ankommender Passagiere, was sich jetzt in Victoria befindet, zu jener Zeit aber in Neusüdwales war.

This collection includes 1846 passenger arrivals at Port Philip, which is now in Victoria, but at the time was in New South Wales.

Most of the records are on standard forms, although there are exceptions. The records typically include the full name of the passenger, age if under 14 years old, native county and country (although the county is not always listed), profession, whether the passenger was a settler or visiting, and remarks. Additionally you’ll learn the name of the ship, the port and date of arrival, port of departure, date of sailing, and how long the voyage took. If the ship made any stops, the port and duration of the stop was noted as well.

Births and deaths were recorded in a separate section of the form. Death records included the name, place of origin, and age. Births listed the parents’ names and the gender of the child, but not the child’s name.
