This database contains portraits and biographical and historical memoirs of the most illustrious people of Great Britain between 1502 and 1852. Many of the individuals included in this work are those of nobility. For example, Elizabeth of York, Queen of Henry the Seventh; Sir Thomas More; Queen Anne Bullen (Boleyn); Queen Jane Seymour; and Margaret Tudor, sister to King Henry the Eighth, are some of the individuals included in this collection. Even though your ancestors may not be listed in this biographical record (since it only covers the most prominent individuals), much can be learned by reading about the lives of others who lived during the time of your ancestors.
