 Two East Anglian Diaries 1641-1729

This database contains the diaries of two East Anglians, Isaac Archer and William Coe. Their diaries cover the years 1641-1729. Isaac Archer was a clergyman and his diary contains a great deal of information on his family as well as his occupation. William Coe's diary, on the other hand, does not discuss his family life very much and in that regard significantly differs from Archer's. Coe was a gentleman and used his diary to record his failings and sins, but also to record important mercies to him and his family. While your ancestors will likely not be mentioned in this work, much can be learned by reading about the lives of others who lived during the time of your ancestors.
