Suffolk Post Office Directory 1875

This database contains the 1875 post office directory for Suffolk shire. The directory includes a description of Suffolk, which lists the Hundreds and Poor Law Unions found within its borders. Also included is a description of each parish that names the Hundred, Union, County Court District, Diocese, Archdeaconry, and Rural Deanery it is located in, as well as the name of the parish clerk. The directory also lists the Farm Bailiffs of the Gentlemen who farm their own land and makes note of official establishments such as telegraph offices and post office savings banks.
