This database contains volume 1 of Pigot’s Pocket Topography and Gazetteer of England. It lists towns, parishes, villages, and other locales, providing details such as descriptions, history, population, distances, famous residents, market days, and other features.

Volume 1 covers the following counties: Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Cornwall, Devonshire, Dorsetshire, Essex, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Huntingdonshire, Kent, Middlesex, Norfolk, Oxfordshire, Somersetshire, Suffolk, Surrey, Sussex, and Wiltshire. A map for each county is included.
